Today I failed, I got a not acceptable result on one of my main activities, the most important at this moment for me, the school.
I’m going to the last year of high school, and I would like to do a lot of things in the meantime.
I’ve never been that type of guy who goes to school, and his main focus during the day, during the entire school year is only the school.
I’ve always had other activities and other projects, I could stay without something else to do.
School has never been my priority, when I was younger I had in mind other things instead of school.
I’ve never been so much attached to the grades for example, this is because the school was not my only world.
If you have only one thing in your life, and you lose it, you are lost.
I’ve never had only one project or one activity.
I’ve always had many activities and depending on the period I shifted the focus between one and another.
I’ve always been good at school, not the best student but not also the worst, I used to do what needed to have a good mark so that I could work on my projects.
At this moment I don’t have any of the luxury that I had last year, because this year I will have the exam, and it’s important for me to at least keep the good grades that I had.
So school is my number one priority.
As I said before, it has not to be my only project, my only priority, and it’s not, only the most important at this moment.
For this for me, planning is a fundamental skill that I want to improve absolutely.
I want to keep going on all the projects that I have going good to school and getting also good results.
Maybe you think that I’m too optimistic but I’m sure that I can, and I believe that if are passionate about what you are doing, like I am now, you won’t feel the weight of it.
Today I failed because I got my first grade and it was terrible.
For me was important and made me understand an important thing.
Also if you won’t believe it, I was happy to have failed, because it was the sign that something has got to change.
Failing is what gives us the sign that something must change, if you won’t you will stay the same and nothing will ever improve.
In my case, I’ve understood how much planning is important and how often we tend to overestimate our skills and capabilities.
What I needed and I didn’t have was a system, created by me for creating and assigning priority.
I wondered: “Since we tend to overestimate our abilities, how do I know if I’m doing well right now, how many days do I need to complete this task, and how do I know the best way to complete this task in the minor time and as well as possible?”
I need to create a system, a list of principles that I’m going to use every time I’m going to assign or insert a task on my calendar or plan something.
I will create an article about it, this article is important to me to say that failing is natural, and we should be grateful for it, if sometimes is painful, and usually (90% of the time) we tend to aggravate the situation also it is not so serious.
However, being aware of where you are mistaking is key to improving and achieving extraordinary results.
