In theory now I should be home, but since there were problems with the airplane (the plane was overbooked), I’m departing tomorrow.
It wasn’t planned, it happend because my agency forgot to confirm my airplane ticket.
Only arriving at the airport (in delay because the taxi got broke during the journey) I’ve discovered that today I wouldn’t have come back home as I expected.
This event showed me how much I’m changed since I’ve been here.
Last year I wouldn’t have been soo calm like I was this time.
I was alone in another country don’t knowing what I had to do to come back home, knowing for sure to have lost the plane and that I will have to sleep at the airport.
But I kept the calm, and I faced up the situation, and now I’m in wembley in the highest floor of an hotel with the view of the wembley stadium, and all of these free.
This is because the airplane agency in case of overbooking they own you an overnight stay and food until your next fly.
This is just to say that sometimes happen the unespected, something that is not possible forecast to happen.
We tend to give a cause and effect to everything also when there are no enough evidence to say that it wasn’t just the case.
In this case mine was only luck, who knows how many randoms factors made me stay here in this moment, we can’t feel the rarity of being here.
Our esistence is just impossible for how much rare it is, this make us unique, and give us a scope.
What I learned today:
- Being calm is first tool that you should develop in problematic situations.
- We can’t forecast the unespected, we can’t forecast the dark swans, but we can defend ourselves against them, this only knowing our rights and don’t making others overcome them.
