The day before yesterday, I was questioned about history, the day before, I didn’t want to annoy me studying all the fifty pages. Surely you know how much is useless and boring studying in the schoolbook.
So I decided to watch an online video about the topic, I spent something like thirty minutes watching it.
After this I taked notes about the video, so as to imprint the information in my mind.
The next day I was amazed by how much I’m remembered.
Another friends that was questioned with me taked a bad mark, despite he had studied all the day.
Yes, I know is only a single case, but for my personal experience there is an evidence difference between pupil and autodidact.
Looking this two types of students, an autodidact and a pupil, you will immediately understand the difference.
All the pupils have the same structure of information in their head, they don’t elaborate on, while autodidacts are unique, all of theirs had studied from different sources so they have learned how to filter the information.
So my final reflection is about the school, should the school reward the self-taught or the pupils?
From my personal experience, I learned the school don’t reward you when you starting think with you head or exit from the schemes.
From my personal experience, I have learned that the school does not teach you to think for yourself and will not reward you if you go out of the box but it will give you a nice 5 of encouragement because you did not follow the instructions.
At the end of the story it doesn’t matter, each of us has his own study methods, who prefers to look for information on his own and who remembers better if someone explains it to him.
So you don’t have to start studying on your own if it’s not the method you find right for you, the difficult thing is not to go against the crowd, but to start thinking for yourself.
