how to cope with anxiety pre exam

Tomorrow I have the practice exam for the school licence.

When you are stressed and anxious you don’t perform at the maximum of your potential.

So now, the night before the exam, I was wondering, what could I do to maximize the possibility of the success of my exam.

What are the best possible things that I could do now?

This is a good question, and I can find the answer only by exploring what are the factors that influence the possibility of not failing the exam.

I would say mentally, physically and knowledge, are the parameters where I should work.

First of all work on your knowledge, the more you will be effectively prepared, and the less you will feel anxious and stressed.

Set a goal of what you must know and a bunch of time that you are going to spend reviewing some topics.

Work on your mental state.

Tell yourself to calm down doesn’t work, the best thing that you could do is control your breath.

We have extraordinary power, only with our breath, we can speed up and down our hearts.

If you are stressed and anxious and your heart starts to speed up, do your exhale longer than you inhale, and the heart will start to slow down, it’s also true the opposite.

Take care of your physical health and your nutrition before doing your exam.

Eat a healthy meal two to three hours before your exam, this is going to allow your digestion.

Avoid caffeine, especially if you are sensitive to it, it will increase your level of anxiety.

Drink a lot of water, drinking a lot of water it’s going to help you digest and stay hydrated for more concentration during the exam.

The final suggestion, or at least what works for me.

Don’t put all the meaning of your life on one single thing, never.

Whether it’s an exam or a person, nothing that is outside of your control should dictate the state of your life.

Being anxious is normal, but it has not been our ordinary, and you can change it.

Nothing is going to end, accept that you could fail and everything is going to be all right because it will.

Remember that a lot of people have been through what you feeling now and they understand you.

Be always prepared for the worst and hope for the best, take care.
