Building a startup – the idea
Everything starts with a question, what do I’m realizing? What is the purpose of this project?
What I learned is that you can’t do something just because is a great idea, you have to be in touch with what you are building.
Before having the idea that I’m about to talk about, I had in mind to create a project about real estate.
I found a really interesting idea, but the problem was that I was not into that topic, I don’t know much about real estate.
If you are building something that you are not going to use, you are going to fail.
I want the best possible outcome that I can get and is not possible to do that if you are not great at the topic of your project.
So the first question is which field I’m competent/passionate about? What is the topic that attracts me the most?
In this case, in this period of my life, it is the productivity.
Not because I’m an over-toxic machine of productivity, but because I would like to improve most of the aspects of my life (if possible).
I write about productivity, I read about it, and I like studying neuroscience, how the brain and neurotransmitters work.
I’m not a scientist but I have the passion and the knowledge to build a tool for productivity.
Why a tool?
A tool because is the best way to create something in a relatively short time, is really scalable and is easier to do for a single person.
Today there are millions of people who release their AI tools, and there is reason for that.
We are completely under the boom of artificial intelligence, this is probably the best moment to do something about it.
So it’s an AI Tool about productivity.
I need something that fills a need that people don’t even know to need.
I’m a student, and every day I find myself studying for an assessment that I’m going to have.
This is a very stressful thing to do, especially if you find yourself organizing your time for studying every day and you still have to study hours and hours the day before the assessment.
The problem is that we don’t know how much we need to study for the assessment, also if we try to guess, we will never know the complexity of the topics, and we always tend to overestimate our capacity and repeat this loop endlessly.
This should be the scope of this project, answer these two questions:
how much do I really need? (maybe implement in a second moment)- when am I ready? (main functionality)
Is possible?
Description of the problem
Since we are bad at planning, we tend to overestimate the time a topic must be learned.
And also because we don’t know the complexity of what we are going to learn or at least the majority of them.
At the same time, I want to know if I’m ready to do that exam.
You probably could say.
I’m able to plan and I’m extremely precise with my study, and I know when I’m perfectly ready for the test.
However, a system to help you find also the most intrinsic and insignificant gap in your knowledge on a topic can be extremely useful.
For that reason, I’m going to mainly focus on “filling the knowledge” to check if a student is ready for the assessment.
Analyzing the competitors
Looking at your competitors is a key step for choosing the right idea.
The ideal would be finding something not really extended and used, without a monopoly.
In this case, at least from what I see there are few competitors that use my same idea, and the majority don’t even use an AI for that.
pro and cons
These are the pros and cons directly generated from chat GPT
Pros:
- Personalized Learning: The AI can tailor questions to an individual’s strengths and weaknesses, offering a personalized study plan.
- Immediate Feedback: Users can receive instant feedback on their knowledge, helping them focus on areas that need improvement.
- Efficiency: It can save time by quickly identifying areas of proficiency, allowing users to concentrate on what they need to study.
- Scalability: The AI can be used by a large number of users simultaneously, making it suitable for educational institutions.
- Objective Evaluation: Eliminates bias and provides objective evaluation, ensuring fairness.
Cons:
- Algorithm Accuracy: The AI’s effectiveness relies on the accuracy of its algorithms and the quality of its training data.
- Data Privacy: Storing user data and performance information may raise privacy concerns.
- Overreliance on Technology: Users might become overly dependent on the AI tool and neglect traditional study methods.
- Lack of Subjectivity: Some subjects may require subjective evaluation that AI cannot provide.
- Development Challenges: Building a robust and reliable AI tool can be technically challenging and time-consuming.
- Cost: Developing, maintaining, and hosting the AI system can be costly.
In summary, while there are challenges and potential drawbacks, the benefits of creating such an AI tool for knowledge assessment, especially in educational settings, can be significant.
conclusion
In conclusion, I find the idea valuable.
Now we have to analyze if the project is possible, and I’m going to do it in the next article.
