Have you ever looked at the past and thought, heck now that explains everything.
As if your life were a jigsaw puzzle where you finally get to see in which order maybe the pieces fit together.
In every phase of my life, I had an obsession, something where I could put all my focus so that could keep me alive.
In the beginning, one of the first things that I started to fall in love with was technology, when I was still a child.
Then I decided that I needed to build my personal pc.
So I started studying all the components, how a computer is built, which are the best pieces together and for which scope.
I was only thirteen years old and after three months of study I bought all the components, and then I started assembling everything, was one of the best days of my life.
Building with your own hands something that you have dreamed soo much is amazing.
After months of study, seeking to find the perfect configuration, finally I transformed my vision into reality.
This was my first obsession that was with me for about a year.
Then I started playing video games, I played a lot, probably also too much.
But then I realized that would have been very cool if I would have recorded my best games, so I started recording my gameplay to upload them on youtube.
They weren’t good, but I enjoyed soo much all the progress that I was doing, but I needed to learn how to edit those videos.
So I started studying and studying since it becomes an obsession.
I became good at editing videos, but the channel youtube didn’t go very well.
After that, I had a friend very good at graphic design, and he transmitted to me this hobby, since I was already in love with editing videos, was very predictable that I would have liked doing also graphic design.
So this was my third obsession, other than doing this I was used also to working with 3d graphics, I remember that for a certain period, I did only 3d graphics design, and I loved it soo much.
My fourth and fifth obsessions arrived nearly in the same period, this was because I was in the third year of high school (I’m doing the last year of a technical IT high school) and I started appreciating the subject soo much that I started studying it for my own.
So I became a good developer, especially in web development.
In the meanwhile, I bought my first video camera, so I started also learning something about photography and videos in general.
At the end of this list of hobbies, since I departed for my six months abroad, I decided to create a personal diary of this period, so I started writing for those five months and then I’ve never stopped doing it.
I cannot mention reading, since I started reading self-help and non-fiction books I’ve never stopped.
I’ve always had only one thing to focus upon a time, and I’ve never thought about something that could mesh all those things together.
I’ve never realized that the perfect mashup for all of these was the creator.
As I wrote in the previous article, I’m about to start my personal yt channel, where probably at least at the beginning I will talk about self-improvement or thoughts in general like I do in this blog.
I know what will be my next obsession.
My next obsession will be to make this blog and my channel youtube growth since all the time spent skilling myself, building tools that I’ve never considered that one day could be useful, and I hope they will do.
This is to remind you to be curious, I don’t know if I would be here if I hadn’t bought my first pc, or if I never started editing videos.
But surely if I wouldn’t have been curious now I would have a lot of work to do.
Stay curious.
